I have the FIX kit in hand, was wondering what to expect for total cost for shop time and sending cyl off to be re nic plated if needed?

i got a quote from high mark the other day sayin if it didnt have to be re nic'd it would be 65 an hour and it takes 2 hours. but they wanna check the crank and that would take another 3... plus shop materials. so i figured around 400 when all said and done.. But i prolly wouldn't have them check the crank..
it is worth it to have them check the crank (IMO) I just took my engine apart to install the fix kit and my mag side rod bearing was bad and I had a crack at the bottom of one of the skirts. I would go over it with a fine tooth comb as long as you are in there.
The last time my 08 took a crap, it was also the mag side rod bearing. Punched a hole in the case. Definitely worth looking at.

Even if the sled is still goin without any problems? I could see checking it if the pistons were bad or scored really bad. but if they're fine should the crank still be checked?
the reason I was installing the fix kit was that I thought one of my pistons stuck (seized) but when I pulled the cylinders off the pistons were not scored very bad. only have very light marks on them. every thing for the most part looked good when I took it apart. that is when I found the rod bearing at the crank was bad and after further inspection I found the cracks in the cylinder skirt. So now I am putting sleeves in my cylinders, new crank and the fix kit etc... I will have almost $3000 in to it when it is done. so spending the extra few bucks in the beginning may save you in the end.

If i end up having to put 3 grand into it i won't be riding this year... This sucks. haha
