Installing a tether on 09 dragon 8

I want to put a tether (idiot switch) on my sled... (why? cause im an idiot)


I am planing on just taking the standard IQR switch and installing it using the same wires from the stock 2009 dragon ignition. Is there any problem with this that i am not aware of? Should be pretty strait forward...right?

sounds about right............i was going to put one on my rmk and hook it to my kill switch so it would have to run threw my teather before the switch so if they circuit is broken at either spot motor turns off. i would like to make a harness though so not to hack the factory lines and i could remove it at any time if the system fails.

Theres a small black 2 prong female connector coming from the ignition that your tether will plug right into. Take a look, youll see what Im talking about.

I bought a normally open tether through WPS that clamps to the bar. That way I can remove it when selling the sled without leaving a hole by the key switch area. Regular male spade connectors will fit into that two wire, unused plug, off of the key harness.
