I used a heat gun to warm up the instrument panel and it popped right out and when I installed it into the frame I inserted the rubber in first than slide the gauge in with some glass cleaner worked real slick.
I taped the connection to keep out water. The whole job was done in 30 min.
Mad makes a great product
Thanks

Thanks for the helpful info for the install. I already have my gauge lifter -- now if only my sled would get here !!

Pretty simple, no need to remove the ignition switch. A little water is good to help the rubber gasket slide in. I have Madfab lifters on both my sleds, Madsigntist is a great vendor.

Thanks for posting up the pics of the install Beamslayer!

Looks Sweet! Good job Sir.
Its not too bad of a job is it? Dinking with the rubber gasket is the hardest part.

I found out a little heat on the back side and it almost falls out and a good spray of glass cleaner and no hassle puts it back in and it gets rid of finger prints.
My plug-in on the key switch did not want to release so I just took out the switch.
Too bad you do not have a cool sticker that comes with it maybe something with a madsigntist on it?

Hey Jeff - good to see you got a PRO on the way! Ordering my lifter from madsigntist tomorrow. Like you, I wait for my sled....where did you buy yours? I got mine from Weekender in Hotchkiss. A+ top notch customer service. Would highly recommend them to anyone. I hope my sled arrives early next week...!

hydrodipped?

i see your ebc there...so your running boondocker turbo? which does not draw air from there... or did you make intake go to stock plenem.

im guessin you had a pipe then decided turbo

Nope, no pipe. I do have the BD turbo and just wanted the SLP intake to vent some of the hot air under the hood. It should help get some cold air for the innercooler as well. The hood is from Polaris and is hydro-dipped.

Hey Beamslayer I seen you put black tape around the connect? I was just going to post and ask if anybody did anything with there's, just thought it didnt look good out there when sometimes there is snow everywhere.

Thanks!!!:becky::becky:

any powder prefilter on the screen? looks great, but seems like snow ingestion with the coarseness of the mess?

The mesh is just the right coarse-ness so that it freely flows hot air up and out. If it was finer it would greatly slow the flow. It is not an intake. Don't sweat it. If you're riding regularly in snow that is that deep and that fine, its going to be everywhere anyway.
We should all be SO lucky:face-icon-small-win

ahh, thanks. no worries. just wondered. guess i had an assumption it was used as an intake as well. haven't got my hands on mine yet to see how it is all plumbed. nice product. what is the primary reason everyone is lifting the gauge?

I wrapped mine just like that. Probably not needed but what the hell. It's sealed up and you don't notice the light grey connector under the gauge anymore.
