Installing a 144" Extension Kit?

I am installing a 144" extension kit on my 136" 06 Crossfire 600. I was thinking I should probably gear it down a little. I am installing a 2" Challenger track. Has anyone done this and did you gear down? If so, what gears did you go with? Right now it has the stock 60/34's..

We run trails to get to the powder.. That's all the trail riding we do..

When I did this I didn't gear it down at first and it was fine power wise up to about 6000 ft. However I did go to the 10.4 secondary and that helped quite a bit with belt wear and such. I assume you meant that you have 60/60's for gearing as that was stock for late builds. Early builds came with 63/57's or something taller like that. I did finally gear down to 57/63 and that did make a world of a difference for climbing and running around at lower speeds. Much snappier and overall you won't regret it.

btw all dd gearing must equal 120. so 60/34 isn't possible.

That's interesting.. We don't run much over 5,000 here.
