Doubled checked, tore down twice. installed big chute, and head studs. Fuel pump is working have fuel going thru to over flow back to tank. Is there a chance there is a check valve, or air causing problem. much needed help.

Has spark pulled plug and checked.

May be a dumb question. But you didn't turn the engine over at all when doing the head studs with the cams out?

Also when you turn the key to run you will here the fuel return in the tank as the fuel pump cycles. You. Should remove the gas cap and you will hear it. This means you. Have fuel at the injectors.

Also double check all wiring. Make sure you have all connections back together you took apart. And last but not least. Make sure you have the grounds and positives hooked up to the battery/solenoid.

Or how about rags or paper towels in anything that you forgot to take out?

Is it firing, popping banging at all? Turning over like it has compression? Or just spinning over like there is none?

If its an HCR is the tether plugged in all the way and is the two wires from the tether plugged in?

Good thinking simple. . . It is dumb that these sleds turn over with something like that off. The same with the kill switch. Do you know how it kills the engine? No spark or no fuel when pulling the tether or the kill switch?

Yes the engine was rotated, the cams would not fit in correctly. I talk to john at evo before we rotated thru.

Has park so tethers are connected. Cam sensor I need to check into, with the cam cover need to come off again

Thanks bic

Hmmm I'm sure Jim would have not steered you wrong on that, but it is diff innately the first thing I would check. If you rotated the engine 360 without the cams in your coing to be one revolution off.

You can check it to the race manual. There is I instructions in there how to check it. You should be able to pull an inspection plug near the flywheel and line up a mark on the flywheel

EDIT: I could be wrong on this being it is a parrellel firing twin. . . How did you know you had the pistons at TDC after rotating it?

No problem. That manual should help you out alot if it is a engine related issue.

I am unsure but can the chain slip off the crankshaft gear? If it did you could be a ways off? The best thing you can do is pull the cam cover, pull a plug and stick a long screwdriver into the cylinder you can bring the screwdriver up to the point slowly where it stops coming up and and starts to go down. This is a crude way of finding top dead center. Then check your marks on your cam gears.

My drop indicator wasn't long enough, so I used a rod to find tdc. I would think that it would be 180 degree firing. Correct me if you know for sure.

I tried to make it slip when I had everything on location. But I would like to know for sure. I going to start at ground zero. In the am

Had the same problem and it turned out to be the coils were backwards from my lack of labelling lol

That would be a easy fix!. . . lets all hope this is something like that. . . because valve train out of time could prove costly. I did not pull my coils off. . . I pulled only as much off as needed to get the job done.

Mine was a write off rebuild . Just waiting on rails and an intake. I'm stoked to try it out
