working on a 2012 wr450f, I have a fabricated spreader to widen the frame a bit but, cant get the timbersled unit, to line up with the swing arm pivot holes for the motor and frame. the bushings for the kit, seem too wide. it is close but, fighting me badly. any tips, tricks? help appreciated. I had to file the plastic inserts down so that the bushings would fit all the way in before I could get my kit on. The one bushing that is really thin is probably going to break on you. They should really do something about that, it seems like it happens to most people on the Yamahas. I think if they just made the knuckle on the one side even an 8th of an incher shorter it would fix that.

the plastic insert bushing was a touch too wide, the o-rings, couldn't compress. the choice was pound out the plastic insert bushing, and trim the insert, or remove one o-ring... one oring was removed from each side, went in, tight. all ready to go now. just need a yz peg mount (unsure on the year to buy), to remove kickstand mount ect... Keep the orings. Pop out bushing. Grind a few mm off for orings to fit. Sealed to keep grease in and water out is important

Good choice on the yz peg mount. Took the sawzall to mine and it was a bear to cut.

for me, I wd-40 the piss out of EVERYTHING, that is metal except clutched, and brake parts. the water issue will not be a problem with me.

if it were me... really, there should be no O-rings at these two areas, there should be a slight gap, and a grease zert to grease the pivot after each ride. Ski

does anyone make round bars to replace the skegs on the ts ski? I don't think it really needs "carbide" for the application, I think round bars would be enough for riding, and help ease sliding on the loading ramps. Ski
