Innovate o2 sensor???

My o2 gauge won't read. It goes all over the place. it shoots numbers at me like 20.9 and 7.4 and everywhere in b/t. I won't give me a steady reading even at idle. It worked for the first two rides, but ever since that it's been a piece of shiat.

This is too weird - mine does the exact same thing with o2 showing 20.9 and AFR showing 7.4, every once in a while different numbers flash all over the gauge but can't really read them. After your post of 20.9 and 7.4, this is probably not a coincidence, yet I have talked to quite a few of the "experts" and no one indicated that those numbers meant anything. Many of them told me to replace the sensor:(. Do these numbers mean anything specifically to anyone out there? Still cannot believe that this is a coincidence.

My innovative o2 sensor was a piece of **** doesn't even work anymore. But I think you need to free air calibrate it then turn your sled of for a minute or so then start it back up. Atleast that's what I had to do to mine when it was working.

That is the range that the sensor shows. 7.4 minimum and 20.9 maximum. You can try to recalibrate it, if that doesn't work you will need a new sensor. The innovate wideband sux, I have one and haven't had any problems, but others have issues. You can get the sensors at AutoZone Bosch 17014. $50

You need to unhook the O2 sensor from the lc1 (disconnect it) turn it on with eighther the key or start it, (however you have it wired). then shut it off and reconnect the sensor and turn it on or start it, keeping the sensor away from the exhaust, once it heats up and starts to read, it will be calibrated.

If you have the XD-16 like I do you actually have to remove the sensor from exhaust pipe and do a fresh air reset. You pull the plug, I wipe it with a rag, then start your machine or turn the key however you have it wired.Let your sensor heat up. On your display there is a little black button, hold it until it says "Res" Then quickly press it two more times until it flashes "CAL" once it is finished flashing you are done recalibrating. Screw it back in and you should be ready to go. Try that before you get a new sensor.

I had the same problems, Had to hook all three ground wires together, Hot wire to ignition switch. Then recalibrate, sensors do not last long running race gas.

It doesnt make sense they make these gauges for race cars, bikes etc.. that run ON race gas c10 c12 but the censor doesnt like it. I got the innovate and the aem. I like the aem much better less head ace,no free air cal led crap but the sensors are junk with all. You look on the box of aem and theres a pro street race car????

Darko, what brand have you found to work? I have run some of the INNOVATE stuff and it is NOT very innovative.

innovate products

Hello ive installed lots of innovates and there not that difficult. I like them quite a bit. Tell me what set up you have and i will try to help you
just pm me with info
thanks

mine did the same EXACT thing. I bought a new o2 sensor, re calibrated it and blammo no more trouble. race gas is hard on the sensors

Thats exactly what we've found as well. More time fuggin around trying to get a half *** accurate reading, but the time you fug with this gauge to get the readings right, your motor maybe already blown !

Run the AEM, there priced decent, no dicking around, quick install and go riding. This is my 3rd sled with one on and i've personally got 10,000km's using these gauges and never an issue at all. Be sure to hook the positive wire to "blue" on the Yamahas.
