Innovate A/F guages........junk!

I had a grand total of 4 rides with my Innovate A/F guage. It started reading error codes of different sorts. No A/F numbers because of the error codes.
I sent it back to innovate.
Innovate calls to let me know they received it, tested it and they got error codes right off the bat. Yes, that's the reason I sent it back to you I'm thinking to myself.
Innovate-"We have determined that the sensor is not working and it isn't covered by warranty. Would you like to purchase one from us or would you like us to send it back to you?"
Me- "Send it back please."
I just love companies that don't stand behind their products. That is the last of money that innovate will ever see of my money. I'll put my money toward an AEM, thank you.

Did you run a heat sink with the 02 sensor? I found that without a heat sink on a mountain sled the 02 sensor life can be short. Even with a heat sink, you might get a season if you're lucky on a mountain sled. JMPE five years ago. I would test setups than pull the sensor and bung the pipe. I was running the Innovate setup. 02 sensors get po'ed by heat and oil, both of which exist in mass quantities on a normal 2s.

It doesn't sounds like he's complaining about the sensor. Sounds like he's complaining about the gauge part of things.

Personally I like mine.

Innovate does not make their own sensor. Bosch makes the sensor. You can get a new one from most auto parts stores, and like stated above they certainly do not last forever on a two stroke.

I personally like mine also.

Bosch does not eather warranty these sensors. It is normally clearly stated that the sensor does not have any sort of warranty.

I wouldnt say their junk. I had one and it was fine. Ran it on a turbo apex and sensor life was about a season. You guage unit is good just your sensor took a crap. Not the end of the world. These dont like water either but what else is new.....

He says he sent it back to innovate and they told him the gauge was finished not the sensor. On mine when the O2 sensor would go bad it doesnt read error codes it just reads wrong.
Are they junk? I think the question should be. Are innovate or other similar style AFR gauges designed to be used under these conditions? I think they would prefer them to be inside a nice warm dry car.
My last Turbo kit had Innovate, this one has a AEM. Early in the season but so far I like the AEM. Also put a bung extender on the sensor. Sensor life goes way up.

I have this gauge on 3 of my sleds and only replaced on sensor so far with a combined total of 6 riding seasons

Sensor and gauge two different things.

Sensor made by Bosch no warranty will crap out new one $65-80 bucks.

Gauge made by innovate, they say they tested it and it's fine, you are ragging on wrong co.

Sorry my mistake. You are correct, Innovate said bad sensor. I have never had a error code, on a bad sensor.

PEP BOYS used to (and still might) warranty the BOSCH O-2 sensors for 1 year

I have an innovate gauge and all the thing reads is 22.4 after the heater cycle. What is the problem with it? Bad sensor?

I like the part where he says "no warranty on the sensor, would you like to buy one from us?"
Right there, that tells me 2 things-the sensor is junk because they don't warranty it. so what if its a bosch sensor. They put it with their gauges didn't they? Warranty it. They know its junk becuase they stock extras. not to mention making a 100% markup and them.
My boost guage needle flutters also. Screw them.
If you think these gauges are so great, then surf on over to the swap meet and take them off my hands where I got them for sale.

These sensors are not designed to run in 2 stroke motors. Under the conditions they were designed to be used they are rated for 250,000 miles. Under the conditions of exposing them to oil and lead, you can easily trash one in a very short time.

I just put a new sensor on my sled with the innovate guage. Htr appears on startup then switches to 22.4. Doesnt read anything else. Also seen a e9 code a couple times. What is that. Any help would be great since im out west right now trying to dial in my aero turbo. Thanks

Forgot to calibrate it?

E9 error is because of low voltage. Give it som on/off throttle and it comes back, if not, bad voltage regulator.

Ive had AEM and Innovate, InnovTe beats AEM easy. One and a half season on a turbo, still going good.
AEM would freeze up and not function propperly.

I have mounted two KOSO a/f gauges, hard to read the numbers, and lags bad when it's cold.

I will stick witv my Innovate.
