i got tired of breaking my 500 cog belt all the time so i went ahed and put the whole BIGGER AND BETTER 600 belt set up on my 503 but that started a new proublum. I couldent get it to stop sliping i actully broke a 600 belt becuz it was slipping. so i figured out the 600 belt is actully longer by a lil bit.. so waht you have to do is notch out the squar in the aluminum that your belt tensioner rides in 3/4 of an inch and then put a 2 in longer metric bolt in your adjuster.. and then you are set to go. and i went ahed and tightend up the slip clutch cog gear all the way seems as how theirs no way to break this big belt with the lil 503 lol so in conclusin if you have a 503 hawk and you want to make that part of it unbreakable just do that.
