you can ride there if there is snow there...Ive rode in the second week of july in years past and as soon as it opens and have never had any issues! get after it and let me know cause I was considering take one last poke at it before its all gone!
I called around after I post the original thread and all reported that it was closed to snowmobiles. Called the Ranger station and they said they close it to riding when they opened the pass. I'm sure there are places to ride and not get hassled but since I am not that familiar with the area I ended just riding around Truckee.
They close it to riding the last day of April no matter how much snow is on the ground.I am pretty sure thats the date.It was talked about on here earlier this season. Cheers
