? Info on 05 rmk 900

Hi guys,

Just looking to get some insight on the RMK 900. Looking at buying a 05 that has slp pipe and can, slp vent kits, slp cold air kit and all the 18 or so updates have been done on the sled. I have been reading all the post on here about it and think im getting a good deal on the sled. It has 1500 miles on it and the owner says he hasnt had any problems. Also anything to look at in specefic when going to look at the 900 rmk?? Im jumping from a M7 so any help would be great. Thanks for the help in advance.

Sounds like a good starting point.... The Stickies contain TONS of info on things to look for. Be sure to check throttle body boots for cracks, oil cable for smooth operation, etc.... way too much stuff to even remember at the moment. A good post to check out would be the "Read Before You Buy" post by Mountainhorse... very well written about what to consider when looking at a 900. (link to thread below)

Coming from a 700, you will notice the extra weight right off the bat, they are heavy sleds to throw around, even when set-up to your riding style, but the low-end torque can be addicting... there's nothing like just putting around at 1/4 throttle in the trees:D

Contrary to popular belief, the 900s CAN be made to run reliably with the updates and a few set-up details... :face-icon-small-hap

STICKIES at top saying ``read before buying``

I revived it for a while... :face-icon-small-hap

There's so many good threads to have stickied for our sleds, but it's hard to choose which ones to keep up there without turning it into a complete mess.

For the moment, I added it back for everyone to benefit from.
