Indy Dan

Ok anyone have a way to get a hold of this guy Indy Dan besides his Number? Which he wont answer or take messages Or his Hot mail account which i guess he doesnt respond to either?? Bought one of his 3 yr warranty block's and it looked great except he never milled the outside of the sleeves and it wont fit into my case.... This guy was really happy to take my money but after he got it the Customer service comes to a screeching halt... Any help would be greatly appreciated but my next step is to dispute the transaction and get my money back and then find someone to Machine it.... Which im sure will screw the 3 yr warranty he offered..... HELP!
 
I have always had fast quick service with dan. Send an email with number name and issue and he always seems to reply in a hurrid manner
 
I have sent him 3 E-mail in the past week and NOTHING I even said hey im going to dispute this with my bank if you dont respond on the last one 5 days ago and still nothing.... Kinda pisses me off but im sure i can find a machine shop around here to mill the outside of the sleeves and ill dispute with the Bank and will never buy or recommend him to Anyone..... Its just to bad because i hate doing this $hit
 
I emailed him the other day. That night I got a response asking for my phone number. Called me the next day.

Rule #1 Dan doesn't screw up.

Rule #2 If he does he takes care of it. ASAP.

Frankly, I have seen a few of these threads before. They always ended up that there was another side to the story(dan's side). Usually the poster ended up with mud in their face.

The little I do know is, he is a one man operation and very busy. If you sent emails over the weekend, good chance he won't respond then. Also I know he takes some sledding trips through the winter. Maybe he is gone on one. I wouldn't get your panties in a big wad. I am sure if he made a mistake, he will take care of it.
 
I purchased his re-enforced Mono block top end.... the nic'ed Sleeves look fantastic but he never milled the outside of the sleeves that slide down into my lower case...It still has casting marks on them... Esay fix just call me back and send a new one out in the Mail with some return postage for the Block he sent me But No Reply from the guy! Its a damn good thing there Isn't any Snow in Washington or i would be really PISSED lol.... I just hate spending $940.00 bucks for something and cant use it...

Im a pretty easy guy i understand things can happen I run my own small business but Communication is the key and Im getting Nothing... I dont want to go the other route i just want a Part that works... Pretty simple
 
I still have 10 more days to dispute it so for the sake of being fair ill send one more Email and see where it goes but Im not holding my breath..... But who knows..... I try to always see the good in things and thats why i chose him in the first place....
 
I have done a lot of business with various companies and a LOT of business with Dan, rarely does Dan make a mistake and when he does, he takes care of it. No good solutions come from airing issues on the Internet.... Ever.

What year is your engine and what year cylinder did you order? Post your engine build year and the Link to which cyl you bought.
 
Well there ya go I made a comment on here and i got a Phone call right away Seems like my Emails were going into his Spam folder.... All is well in the world.... Thanks to who ever called him and gave him a heads up! Now we need SNOW>>>

FYI - Good chance if you pick a sex type, wet dream or what ever e-mail address chances are its going to spam.

Then there is the fact if you have a 2009 motor and you order a 2010 cylinder its not going to fit. as a matter of fact it will sit right on top of the case with not much chance of it going in.

Ahh well lets see the last few Emails i sent to you were from Michaelmitchell1965@........... The Nwdreambuilder@..... is My Construction Co E-mail address and has nothing to do with sex, wet dreams or what ever... And when i ordered this from you over the phone i admit i might have said 2010 but if there was a difference that much between a 09 and a 10 then why didnt we discuss that?? Again I wasnt really on here to Bash you or make you look bad i was just frustrated and Again i think the fault lies In both camps... Thank you again for the call back and i apologize for any problems this might have caused u it wasnt my intent it was just my intent really to try to get a hold of you in some fashion... Thanks again for the Call and again no hard feelings... Im sure I'll get burned on here over this but oh well....

There is a difference between being frustrated and bashing but maybe thats beyond your comprehension....... Dont act like any of you would be different if You got no response from someone for a week and u had just shelled out 900 bucks Again like I said its a Bum deal the E-mails got lost in Spam.... Its a Bum deal all around But Dan and I have talked and Hopefully we can let Bygones be Bygones.... Im doing my best to Eat Humble pie here i dont need Smart *** Responses....

The forums ARE a great way to get the word out when you have a frustrating situation like this.

I wish I would have seen this before now.

A better tack to take is to see if anyone can help out with contact. Dans reputation on here is top notch... assume the best, it's what you got in the end.
