INDY DAN MOTOR

As soon as my service contract/ "warranty" is close to being up Indy Dan will put one of his motors in my sled, I've already talked to him about it. I'm glad he's here in MN.
 
Super Sled, can you tone down your full size signature picture? I can tell you're excited about your new sled, but you are filling up threads all over the place.

Second that... your sled is a BEAUT!!
Maybe make the pic half that size.
 
Me and another guy here in Fargo had IndyDan put in a long rod kit into our 2012 motors over the summer, plus we had him custom clutch it with that TIED secondary clutch and his own helix.

Of course, no snow yet, but can't wait to go riding in Cooke at the end of the year!
 
3 yr warranty on IndyDan's motor.

I sold a 580 XLT to a friend in 1998. IndyDan put a 603 rebuild in it as I had blew it up' The sled is still running. My friend doesn't ride a lot but when he goes fishing he takes it and it usually starts on pull 5. IndyDan knows his stuff........
 
I too am sold on Indy Dans work and his 3 year warranty is impressive. Unfortunately most of the time the engine failure falls outside of the work done by Indy Dan. Most burn downs are not warranty concerns it is usually due to detonation and lean fueling situations.

Indy Dan can not worn torn intake boots, snow ingestion, bad fuel with moisture or water in it or cold seize concerns due to improper warm ups. Obviously gummed up carbs or fuel injectors play such a major part in this equation it is so important to verify you have good and fresh fuel.

For those of you who have federally mandated ethanol in the fuel you are also at a disadvantage even if you have your ethanol plug turned on since the ethanol fuels show that it breaks down in as little as 30-45 days and yes some last longer but it plugs carbs and fuel injectors.

I have witnessed a guy who filled his fuel tank in his 05 chev impala and left town on business and came back 2 weaks later and he burned down his engine with contaminated ethanol fuel with 77 miles on that tank of fuel. The fuel injectors were partially plugged with a white coating in the feed side of the injectors. I obviously am not trying to compare 2 strokes to 4 stroke engines but only to show how bad the ethanol fuel can be and how much worse it can be with some contamination.

I believe about 50% of the engine failures are related to these kind of conditions in general if not more.
 
Dan did the torque master and both clutches last year, I put it in my 05 900, fired it up and rode all of 2013 winter and had no issues at all, VERY IMPRESSED with the torque no vibration compared to what was going before, I sent it to Dan and asked for a reliable motor, and he delivered BIG time. I know this thread is old but whoever reads this should know one more possitive reply for the Torque Master engines by Indy Dan. Thank you for an exceptional winter ride!!!!!
