Okay guys heres my dilemma. I have posted this on some diesel sites, but i keep getting the same (older trucks need repairs) which is understandable.
Well i bought a diesel because EVERYONE says that diesels are better and they last forever and you dont have to work on them all the time like a gasser, etc, you know the story.
I bought a 99 F250 7.3 about a year ago because of what great condition it was in. It had 110,000 miles on it when i got it. Since then i put on about 20,000.
This summer, i had to put on a starter.
Once winter hit, BOOM, it leaks fuel everywhere even after i replaced the o-rings in the fuel lines. Water Pump went, Had to replace ALL rotors, brake pads, calipers. While i was replacing the water pump, i noticed my front axle is leaking like crazy from the pig.
How reliable is the 7.3 if the water pump, starter, glow plug relay, brakes, font axle seal go out at 125,000 miles.
Is this normal or do i have a lemon?
