Now that you have seen the enemy....
Unfortunatly, everytime I go to areas that atvs are allowed, I see tracks heading off trail in wetlands, through fields etc. Tracks between a run over closure sign. There are those that think by vandalizing closures or riding in those areas will come with no retaliation by the forest service or BLM. Wrong.
One picture sent to the forest service goes tword shutting down these areas. The White River National Forest in Colorado is under fire. Every place is and these people have more ammunition and do not have to look far. Videos like that one can rally more greenies tree huggers and those that have been un-biased for years.
Sit back and complain and lose your riding priviledge. You may think its your right, but it is a priviledge that can be taken away by a stroke of a pen....AKA wilderness bills, area reclamation, complete closures etc
off road vehicles are being looked at and banned constantly.
Minn tried to ban jetskis in certain lake areas a few years back. The bill didnt make it to the govs desk. Jessie V said that he would veto it cause he owned 6 of them.
But the threats are there and will not go away.
To me this is no suprise, writing is on the wall. They will try everyting that they can to ban recreation that they do not support. Use the quads that god gave you is there philosophy.
I would hate to see someone elses recreation being taken away because of the scewed thoughts and self centerd agendas of others.
Get involved or don't complain when its gone
