Impulse Turbo anybody??

Going through a lot of coolant, seems to be running hot don't have a gauge, lost my boost, seems like something with the wastegate, stuck up open?

loss of coolant would indicate head gasket probs loss of boost would be a boost leak in your system.make sure all the air is out of the cooling system this will cause overheating & make the sled dump coolant too.you need to look for a leak in the pressure side of your turbo.make sure your intercooler boots are still attached to the throttle bodies.these are a few things to start with

It is probably an improperly bled coolant system. The Nytros are hard to bleed all of the air out of the front cooler. And if they are overfilled they will spit some coolant out the overflow bottle.

As for boost my first guess would be a leak, however if the intercooler was installed correctly it can't blow off since it is held down to the motor. Second guess would be too much fuel. If the AF ratios are in the 10s it won't build boost.

I am running an Impulse turbo kit, I have 400 miles on it,and no problems. I have noticed a little coolant will come out of the breather hose on my overflow bottle, not from running hot but from general riding. You want to make sure you had all the air out of the coolant, I filled mine with the radiator held up as high as I could, I still bled the air from the line coming back from rear heat exchanger, holds lots of air. Did you Install the head shim or did some somesone else?

For bleeding mine I found on the rad hose that goes to the rad with the fan there is a "T" in there with a small rubber plug on it pointing up....I removed that and put a chunk of hose on there up to the mtn strap on the bars....lots of air came outta there when I bled it.....I ran the sled with the gas tank not mounted...off to the side...seemed to work good.

what's the possibility i actually have head damage from it? the boost loss was from cracked intercooler, light never came on the sled, it came out and always put more back in if it got low
