Impulse race kit first ride

First ride no issues except breaking the limiter strap first time I got into the throttle. what a difference in the throttle response coming from the mcx kit. no over heating problems with the front heat exchanger delete kit and radiator removed. 9.5.1 je pistons, carrillo rods, Impulse race kit, crracing 174 tunnel, timbersled rear suspension with iceage 174 rails, 174 camo extreme, motelyone seat, front heat exchanger delet kit with 8 tooth drivers, two wheel kit, two stages of nitrous, methanol injection. and prologger.

Snowy, That has to be a rush with the Nitrous!! What numbers are you running in the pro logger on the OST? Paul recomends 6.8 with a 12 psi wastegate. Did you play with that at all? Sweet set up.. DC

I haven,t messed with the pro logger yet, paul set it up and I am still trying to figure my way around it. had it set at 15lbs today for the first ride, turned it up to 18 for the next ride as I got about 20 miles on it so its broke in now. need more snow couldn,t even get off the road. and once the limiter strap broke there was no keeping it off the bumper.

Nice! I'm sure it won't take you to long to get up to 20 psi with that built motor. Beautiful job on the sled.

Guess I should post I've had my Impulse race kit Apex built motor Carillo/je 10:1 out a few times. I can't believe how responsive it is with a gt3071r and the T3 tial housing. I built the sled knowing it was going to be a top end sled and thought I would have to sacrifice a little bottom end with the big turbo. VERY plesantly suprised with bottom end as it is the most responsive Apex I've been on. It's not Nytro responsive, but closest I've been to it. Midrange is even better and top end is silly. I'm at about 17 psi and it rocks.

For you guys asking for numbers Paul and I ended up setting my bst gn at 10 and my ost gn at 0. I need to play around some more with it because it hits 17 psi and then sets back down to 15-16 after a few seconds.

Snowy I didnt see any smileys there, you got a vendetta against me Now that the M8t is done the TReX takes its place in my garage, hopefully done by Fairview, but beware of 7 yr old Yamahas running 30lbs of boost with 100hp Nitrous!

no vendette here I still respect the trex and not sure the 3 cylinder will out do the 4 cylinder until I see it. I just can,t figure out how to get those smiley faces to pop up.

Your right it is a illness. Need to line it up against a old rx1 to see what it can do.

the delete kit comes with all the parts for the plumbing, I got it from Dustin at outlaw motorsports.
