Impulse "Over boost"???

I just got my sled back from the dealer that installed my standard Impulse kit with Pro Logger. I am trying to set it up for 1500' elevation. I have my boost set at 10 psi on pro logger, Kpa is set at 96 via what the manual says, and wastegate was at 8 moved it up to 10 with no luck.

The problem I am having is if I barely even blip the throttle I am going way way over 10 psi of boost. I mean I am barely touching the throttle no more then half and I've seen the pro logger guage spike at 17+ psi:eek::eek:

What is going on here?? How do I control the boost. I don't have a boost controller just the prologger.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Mike

Is your MAP configured to PSI? The prologger can read volts, psi, hg, or inches. Your reading may be off if it is not configured for PSI. Page 12 in the manual

yeah, your not gonna be getting 10+ pounds just whacking the throttle, even impulse kits arent that instant!! check setup... usually something dumb and simple!

Hmmm I guess it could be, but I doubt it. The RPM and AF gauge are reading fine. I will check it tomorrow. Thanks for the help......Any other Ideas??

There are quite a few settings on it to make sure everything is working right on the prologger. You have to make sure the wastegate is for internal, set the GATE setting, make sure it is at SETPOINT and put it to 10psi, and then make sure you setup the neverlean feature up right, or set it so it won't cut your boost ever.

I sent you a pm.

Think we got it figured out. Called Paul and he said something wasn't hooked up right. Took it to the dealer and sure enough the boost controller solenoid wasn't hooked up right. Thanks for the replies

You may have to mess with the gate pressure as well. If you add gate pressure with the prologger it actually decreases the boost. Kind of counterintuitive to what you would think.

Wish i saw this earlier. Im guessing it was reading compressor psi rather than actuall boost pressure to the gate. Seen this before, glad you got it all taken care of. Have fun with it this year, your gonna love it.
