I'm taking the plung

I'm going on a three day ride at Thompson's Pass this weekend and I decided to take the chance and removed my center shock spring as suggested by Tony. It'll be a good steep and deep test, 142" base and they just recieved over a foot of fresh in the last couple of days, so I hope your right.

Well I guess I'll be putting the spring back on, Taking the spring out did improve the overall ride quality, It is definatly a much softer ride but with the simmons ski and no twin axis mount it made it very difficult to ride on the packed trail. I also noticed the bumps that Ibbroken(600 hawk) was able to jump over, my suspension would completly suck up and some times bottom out on. It was also found that I was not able to climb in the powder as well as Ibbroken, on steep climbs that he was able to shoot straight up, I would have to cut a sidehill to make the same hill. I can see how someone with a persion ski and a trail adapter would like the center spring gone but it is definatly not for my riding style or conditions. So back in goes the center spring and HELLO 144" track (summer project).
