I'm guessing the answer is no, but...

I have an 05 M7 that is having bog/sputtering issues and I want to swap the ECU for the ECU in my 03' F7 to see if the problem is, the ECU.

Can it be done without harming either the 03' F7 ECU or my 05 M7?

I think the 03 f7 program is lean in camparison to the 05 m7 program. Also the symbols have to be the same (i.e. Square, Circle, Triangle).

The 05 M7s had an issue with fuel supply. They were actually getting flooded with to much fuel. The fix that I had on mine was an inline fuel pressure gauge and brass insert, with a carb jet inserted in that, into the fuel line to restrict the amount of fuel going to the injectors. Ran great after that. I had heard that in 06 this problem was corrected. Something to look into.

This sled has STM gas operated valves and I have had them apart completely and they function correctly. Has a black box to simulate servo.

I feels down on power compared to other 700EFI cats I have and it has 130 and 125 compression respectivley.

The tailight is not shorted and is fine. I used a multimeter on the stator and it measured 16.5 ohms on both. Is this within spec?

It ran like a raped ape last year and the same first two trips this year. Last day of the last trip it just started cutting out at high rpms all the sudden. Doesn't have the power of my brothers 06 M7?

Going to unplug the key/ignition switch and try it without that tonight, about out of ideas?

If it happened within the first 3 ride from sitting over the summer I would start with the fuel system, seen a lot of problems from sitting this year. the fuel just breaks down to quick these days and starts causing problems. a good start would be a F/P gauge and pull the injectors and look for debris.

Last night looking at the sled I noticed that one injector had cracked plastic and one wire lead was exposed a little. The lead had turned a little blue from corrosion. Could this cause the cutting out at high rpms?
