ok i have a front mount alpine turbo with a custom built header with a koso [2nd one now] gauge..and when i put on a new a/f sensor in the pipe.. it works perfect till about 20 mins run time, and then it just goes to err-1.which i no means its junk,,im only running about 2-3 gals of 110 mix..is this gauge a pos.or maybe i have a sensor eating sled...what does everybody else run..im done putting $60 sensors that only last 20 mins in this beast..thanx for any info chris..

yes it is..im seeing what everybody else is using..i no my set up with my fuel controller is good.. but its nice to moniter it if i decide to crank up the boost to 17# +

Is the sensor in a place that it could get water (snow) on it? Is it in front of the turbo so that it's getting too hot?

Water and heat will kill sensors quickly.

its in the exhaust past the turbo about 7" from the head on the sled no snow can get to it..and i no it gets hot from the exhaust..

you want the sensor to be atleast 4 inches away from the wastegate, make sure the wire is in an area doesnt get hit or rubbed on, there touchy i went threw 3 i moved the sensor down the exhaust dump a little no more problems, and i'm running a straight race fuel c16 turbo apex :)

Sorry to above poster lent to hit thumbs up I think I hit thumbs down. Stupid smartphones anyway. I as well run straight race 110 and have no issues with air fuel gauge

yeah as long as the sensor isnt near the wastegate with in couple inches they usually dont give problems from what i have seen, but if you go to far down the exhaust then it starts bein incorrect readings, make sure the wire going to it is secure not flopping around and sealed for no water getting to it.

ill try to post pictures of the setup, since it is a 1 off custom made exhaust, so then you can tell me if i need to relocate it or not..the problem is, my sled is 1200 miles away from me, and i dont no if i will c it till mid april..chris,
