Instead of buying a drit bike, I just bought a mountain bike

I figured I already had one powered dirt toy so the quad was just gonna have to cut it ...

My logic behind buying the mountain bike is that I will drop 15-20 pounds this summer from riding

Not a bad choice, welcome to the world of single track riding. Unless you use the quad for towing or work sell it or trade it for a dirtbike. Once you're comfortable on 2 wheels, 4 just makes riding boring. My riding group all mtn bikes and dirtbikes and most of us sled as well. There was a few hold outs on quads but they got sick of having to stick to the double track and logging roads while we ripped the good stuff. Way safer to hit big hillclimbs on a bike than a quad too. Not to mention side hilling.

Smart move Dogmeat ... the bike will keep you in shape over the summer months. I just prepped my mountain bike ... need to drop the 10-15 lbs. I gained after quitting smoking 2 months ago!

Yeah, the carb works, the jetting I have in it is WAY too rich.... I'm gonna go back to the FMF jets .... but, I still have a valve problem on it.

Sounds like some kind of vibration from underneath the valve cover. I'll tear into it thsi weekend.

I finally sold my MB last week. Needed to make room for the motorized two-wheeler

There is still a chance I might buy my dad's 2007 Honda CRF450X from him this summer ... I think he really likes the power on that bike but he needs something with a lot lower seat height.

If not, I'll just have to make due with the quad *shrug*

I have both...dirtbike and mtn bike. I used to race mountain bikes competively in college. coyotegirl and I rode mtn bikes a while back...she kicked my a$$! she was in good shape! haha

Dogmeat, now you just have to ride it. I have a Rocky Mtn Slayer, huge travel. But don't take PJ's advise on the spandex. Unless you want to look like the guys(?) in the photo.
