I'll drive 200 miles for your 670 trailing arm!

Im in chelan and as most of you may know i NEED a right side trailing arm for a 99 summit X 670. I'd post this in the ski-doo section but i need it local and can't wait for shipping (need it by friday afternoon). Ive got money and a 30mpg honda ready to roll. I cant miss the BSO! Im comin off pretty needy but you'd understand if you got the wrong one in the first place and can't find another... Thanks guys, everyone is very helpfull and sure friendly on here...

If you are that desperate... have you thought of welding yours up?? Or??

You might call Curt at Fastrax (Puyallup area) to see if he can help fabricate something... he's pretty darn handy! 253.848.0908

Post a pic of the broken one.If it's not to bad off I could weld it up for you fri afternoon/night on your way to baker.I'm in marysville, right off the freeway.

Most any trailing arm can be beat back into shape to make it through a weekend.....:D:beer;:beer;

Here it is.

Anyone know if a 97 670 arm will fit a 99? Western powersports said it would but i wanna be sure before i do. THANKS! The inside of the arm is kina folded in, not sure if this is fixable...

That is very fixable.

Get ahold of AA/AT and ask him to do the job for you.
A little heat to get the bend out of it and a good doubler or peice of angle welded on it will make it strong as all get out.
You'll have a battle scar to show off at Baker too!

Whats AA/AT's info? I'll PM him but i need exact adress (GPS) and phone number. And sounds like a good deal to weld it up, never thought of that... Everyone on hear is always helpfull! Thanks guys. Were still debating wether to stay at a hotel or bunk with someone else (not sure who yet), but "daddy" wants to be comfy... haha.

that's not bad at all, AA will have that's fixed in no time. I rode with one worse than that fixed with a 2" branch, rope and duct tape for several rides waiting for parts.... LOL

Eazy if you want give me a call I know a guy down at the lone pine that can custom weld just like new. Or take it to kelly's iron works here in town. My cell 697-3268. No need to have to drive any where.

Hey, thanks guys. I think i am ordering a 97 summit 670 (yellow) trailing arm from my dealer whos getting it from western powersports in idaho for about $100 after tax and shipping. It may not match in color but who gives a damn! Oh, and do u meen the limiter strap under the rear front suspension? The leather lookin straps? And ive also heard of taking off on the the support bars on the ski to carve and sidehill better, (not sure wether i take off the top one or bottum one, the two black support bars im talkin bout here...). Anywho, AA/At was nice enough to call me into his shop with open arms and tools... I really appreciate everyones help, im almost serprised how badly everyone wants to see me up their... :):):)

Get this, I SERIOUSLY called EVERY authorized ski-doo dealer in washington, it was about 27 dealers (even one in oregon!) and no one had one in stock (wenatchee had a left one, but that won't fit the right...) What surprised me the most was that not 1 person i called said a 97 or 98 would work (i was anaware at the time), i learned their just different colors... 4-5 hrs on the computer today going threw a map of all the dealers in WA and nothin... Then i was educated... I should call them all back and teach them a thing or two bout what fits. They were ALL nice though, even calling me back and helping me search...

And if anyone is curious, the 99 summit 670 arms are discontinued and SPI/chromoly make aftermarket ones once a year (at the end of each fall) and sell what they make...

I think I've got a black one that'll work. I got one used for my '96 Summit years ago, only to find the holes didn't line up. I seem to recall it was from a '97 and that's why it didn't fit. I can send a picture if that helps to confirm.

Let me know, I'm in Hillsboro, OR.

I just checked the '96 and '97 out in my garage and the '97 has a steeper (more vertical) rake than the '96. I'm snobogger's brother and I'm almost sure it matched the '97 (including the decals) when we checked at the time.
