did a search and seems a lot of people were having trouble with too much sag and bottoming out in the rear after changing over. want to loose the weight but don't want to be unhappy compared to what it has stock. saw most were pumping them up to 140-150 pounds, does this make it hard as a rock? ride very little trail so not worried about that just don't want to break my back in flat light, i'm old and sometimes don't see every bump...

hate my 09 skid when it comes to rough country, the 07 handle the bumps 5 times better. but its light and still works in the hills. Holz makes a solution for the new skid as well, revalving and such, heard it makes a huge diff and only cost 155.00

Float was way better in all areas. I did the geo mod and it improves the ride on the bumps a lot. Instead of running 130lbs stock, I could run 90-95 with the geo mod and get the same weight transfer, but way more compliance in the bumps.

on my 07 I would hammer the trail over 2-4ft moguls, just punch it start catching air and pulling a wheelie it was hard to hang on to at times but it took the abuse and I used every part of the suspension. No matter how hard I try the 09 can't be adjusted to do half that. and the 07 worked well setup one way on the hills, sidehilling and on the trail. the 09 can be setup to climb well but doesnt sidehill as well and about every fifth bump the skid bottoms out making narley sounds. the front skid spring seems weeker as well on my o7 with about 3/8 preload it would hold the back of the track off the ground on the 09 if you crank it all the way it barely gets the back of the skid off the ground and the 09 is 20lbs lighter in the rear. I wouldn't give up the 09. I just think if you could put a spring around the float shock for bettter recoil and a front skid spring that could hold some weight it would help a bunch, because if you set it for climbing when you sidehill it want to wash out because there is to much rear pressure.
