I am 10 days from being done with the worst 6 months of training of my life. We have a company of about 285 Lieutenants. We've had some trouble over the past 6 months and they always punish as a whole.

Friday night one guy gets a DUI. It is a huge deal here. Possible to revoke a commission because of it.

This afternoon a guy SHOOTS HIMSELF IN THE HAND WHILE TRYING TO UNLOAD HIS REVOLVER! OMG. We spent 3 weeks on the range learning weapons handling and shooting.

So, guess who gets to be up at 0520 tomorrow and spend the day sitting in a classroom?! yep, all of us.

How in the hell do you discharge a revolver while unloading?? Where are your M9's?

Used to scare the shat out of me being a RSO. Hard to believe how little our younger generations know about weapons. Muzzle control training just doesn't seem to sink in with some people.

I have no idea. We are only issued M9's when on duty. This was his personal weapon, and he was out in town.
