Identifying Clutch?

Even though I know longer have a 900, you guys are by far the most knowledgeable people on this forum. Because of this, I have come in for a little assistance. I have a primary clutch and I believe it is from an 04 800. My question is how do I determine what sled this is off of? I see the date stamp, but I looked into any other #'s listed on it and I cannot determine what it came from.. I looked at parts #'s and it looks like 600 and 700 are different than 800's so I am just trying to determine exactly what this came off of if I can.. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!:face-icon-small-hap

The 800 01 to 05 clutch has the wide cover bushing. the 600 and 700 have the narrow cover bushing but wide rollers.

I have nothing to compare it to right now so I cannot tell if it has any of the stuff mentioned.. Any reference #'s or measurements that will help me determine this?

If ther cover is flat across the top it is a 600 or 700 if it is raised up in the center (the bushing will stick up higher the the end of the shaft) it is an 800 clutch. got to hiperf.com click on snowmobile catalog and then clutches, Polaris drive clutch has a photo of a clutch that would look like a 600 or 700.
The numbers on there clutches, they our cast numbers and dates of manufacture they don't help much.

Are the 900 clutches different than the 800?? How can I tell I have an 800 clutch and not a 900.. I looked at both of them and they look the same with the raised top like mentioned on the 800..

The 800 and 900's both had the 'domed' cover - the rest of the clutch basically the same except for the weights and spring. I know the 900's came with 74 gram weights. The 800 probably had 68 gram weights. What do the numbers that are pin stamped on that cover say?

The only difference in a edge 800 clutch and the 700/900 clutch is the pin position for the weight. I have put one on an 800 and if i remember correct all it did was bring up the engagement a little other than that it ran great. It worked just the same as the 800 clutch.
