What are some ideas to soften this thing up, cost is a factor.

On the front: I see alot of guys are running the WE needles with dual rate springs? What would this setup cost?? Needs to be 18" center to center

OR how about the Ryde FX Air 2.0 shocks for the front??

and the Rear: lighter rear torsion springs?? which ones? some guys are running the heavy Dragon springs...?? and the front track shock- lighter spring or dual rate spring??

I want someting that is going to go through the bumps and not want to buck. Thanks much for ideas

Most cost effective route will be re-springing (lower gas pressure for the front ski shocks) and re-valving for your weight and riding style. As far as the front track shock goes its a good shock, simply lay it down in the lower hole and you will find the sled absorbing bumps rather than porpoising off of them, this will also lessen trenching in harder snow as the shock will collapse easier allowing the sled to climb out of its trench better. You must be very light like sub 170 if you need softer springs, the assault has the .375s stock which is the stiffer spring listed for the dragons, there are also .405s. Have you turned down your rear track shock, it could have been set really high at the factory for some reason. I would bet dollars to donuts that you can drastically improve the ride of your sled for little to no money by doing these adjustments, laying down the front track shock alone makes a world of difference. Also keep in mind that if you go really soft on the fronts on the assault it will have alot more of a tippy feel since it has no sway bar.
