I've never been able to attend the Idaho Snow Show due to potato harvest....anybody else have this problem? Is there a reason why we can't push the show two weeks one way or the other to accomodate the few left in Idaho Agriculture or am I the only one left?

I guess that it won't work for everyone...

A lot of it I'm sure has to do with scheduling the venue and other sledding shows. The vender's are set for some long weekends coming up and it's only just started. A few weeks ago Heydays, then Boise, next weekend Denver, off to Puyallup, then to Salt Lake and then Spokane... that's just the ones around the west not to mention some vender's from the states head to Canada and to the mid west.

If you want to make a show head to Puyallup here in a few weeks. Great show with tons to see and a huge swap meet. Good excuse to see Seattle so take an extra day to see the sites.

How did this get a five star rating with one reponse? I guess those that would respond are still in harvest.... I know 25 of my fellow sledders who are digging beets or spuds right now probably won't see this until december.....

The show would have much better attendance if it were a month later even if it took place during the week. Besides the busy Ag folks many others just aren't in the mood yet & too many "nice weather" activities are still in swing.
IMO SW hasn't given enough thought to the importance of date & it's costing the vendors & SW money. Aftermarket parts are just starting to ship so vendors are scrambling. The swap meet would have better attendanance by prospective buyers closer to snow season. A later date could be arranged without much effort. The population base is here for a much larger turnout yet attendance has been dropping-so why?

Thought I'd bring this to the top while the harvesters are parked for snow, though most the guys I ride with are still at work repairing for when it thaws....This storm pushed me past the Salt Lake show, will still be harvesting when it passes me by....

I miss it but because it is right in the heart of bull elk rutting season, I'm in the mountains hunting. Someday I would like to attend one :)
