Idaho sledders listen up - change coming on how you get trail stickers

Was reading in Snotech magazine last night that the way you buy your stickers will be changing.

Instead of buying your stickers at gas stations, you will need to think ahead and buy them online. Apparently this is a move to save money....

Out of state guys like me will need to get on the Idaho Department of transportation website and get your stickers early.

There is talk about some kind of workaround for this and it is NOT going to happen for the 2012-2013 sledding season, it IS for the 2013-2014 + seasons

I always order my permits online or on the phone for which ever state I ride in during the winter season. Saves the hassle of trying to find permits..

In Island Park, it is really easy to go to almost any gas station and get stickers after we get there.

Looks like this might be changing unless something can be worked out

The first year I went to I.P, the first few gas stations I stopped at were sold out... From that point on, I decided to just order a head of time..

17 straight years we have gone to the Elk Creek Phillips 66 station in Island Park, and never had any problem with availability. But that would suck to get out there and not being able to get them.....
