Idaho due to lose all Groomed trails

roads

they did that to prevent a gas tax increase. last minute to apease the gov. so he can build more roads. should have just bumped the gas tax a .01. it was all over the news when they did it, there was no time to protest.

my opinion is if the gas we put in our sleds is not going to maintain the trails we shouldnt have to pay the road taxes on it. at $.60 per gallon we would have extra money to give the groomer.

what a bunch of thieves. its pretty apparent that no one down south gives a hoot about the real people in the state.

What Butch Otter and his cronies did is OUTRIGHT ILLEGAL. It is TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION in it's purest form. That's what we get for "settling for a compromise" in the '70's.
In reply to my many letters and calls to the governor's office, I have received the reply over and over "we WILL USE the I,P&R funds for our highway maintenance program , and we MAY look into finding alternative ways to fund our project in the future." what a thief and a liar, I know now why I never voted for the pig.
WE HAVE ALL BEEN STOLEN FROM AND WE SHOULD RING HIS PHONE RIGHT OFF THE WALL!

Don't let the son of a butch get away with it!

Scratch the last idea, who's in for a little capital steps rally?
How about next Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM, who's in?

If our money is not going toward the groomers then whats the point of even buying registration stickers. Thats more money for gas in my sled if thats the case. Signed the petition hopefully our voices will not fall on deaf ears.

I think we have a very good chance of getting our money back. Heck, even the Idaho Statesman appears to support us.

And why, because our gas tax money, and boats, and ATVs, etc, also support things that non-motorized users use. Such as parking lots, bathrooms, docks, roads within state parks, bridges within state parks, search and rescue, law enforcement vehicles.

There's 40 groomers, they buy 4 every year. So, it might delay new groomers for a couple years at worst. Then, we will have to get our money back, or bite the bullet, and raise stickers 10 bucks or so.

Something tells me, our money is going to return. Specially with Sandra leading this charge.

I resent that! I'm down south and I care about your groomed trails as much as mine down here." No one" is a pretty vast statement.:beer;

you got me there...i ment the guys who are allowing all the wilderness to take over our state, and those idiots who stole from every OHV user in the state.:beer;:beer;

its almost like they are trying to force us to stop using the outdoors by making it harder and harder to access it.

And to think that (we the people) vote for these individuals and give them the power to control us. Wow i thought it was by the people for the people , not by a few for themselfs or whatever benefits them . Bunch of selfish jerks . I signed the petition and have a bunch more people that will.

I thought of something else....since there is no money to groom, then there wont be any trails getting taken care of....so why would we need to buy a trail sticker this year?

They'll groom this year. Just a question of how much money they'll have, and how early they will shut down. But, no new groomer next year, but I think they will still have money this winter for 4 new groomers. It doesn't start until next year.

from my understanding they didn't take the groomer sticker money away.
there will still be groomed trails. just not groomed as much.
please correct me if i am wrong.

thanks
