Megan Impson, Idaho City Ranger District Recreational Specialist, has said that the "Beaver Creek Cabin" now has snowmobile access. ***Only one way in and one way out if snowmobiling***. Before only ski or snowshoe access. Her Quote - "Yes the Beaver Creek Cabin is open to snowmobile use this winter, from the Kempner Ranch Road. Snowmobiles are allowed on trail access only along the 362 road into Beaver Creek Cabin. The 362 road east of Kempner Ranch Road is still a non-motorized route". This cabin is located north of Edna Creek campground, on the east side of highway # 21. For reservations you must go to the the U.S. Government website to make reservations - reservation.gov. I've been working on getting the Deer Park Cabin open for us in winter but was very surprised when the Idaho City Ranger District opened the Beaver Creek Cabin. Contact the Idaho City Ranger District for additional information on the cabin or email me with questions. When I looked at the reservation website the rental rate was $45.00 per night and most weekends were booked. Week days were open after 1/1/14.
