Ice Scratchers?

On Saturday, our group of three riders rode a groomed hard pack icy trail to the top and noticed our hi-faxes smelling so we stopped frequently to kick snow on the rails to cool them down. We've decided to put scratchers on but don't know if we should use standard snowmobile scratchers or the ones that are flexible that can be used in reverse on a sled. Does anyone have experience with scratchers on a Timbersled and any suggestions for what type or brand to use?

I bought a set of universal Kimpex scratchers made for sleds -- they bolted right on and work great.

a head scratcher

so in 2012 I put on reg old wire spring ice scratchers, two rides broken pieces even without reverse

2013 the answer was cable scratchers, gone in a day ?

2014 taint hit scratcher conditions yet, pal says we put them on ski, going to work on that design

what I do know is steep hard snow sidehills have wiped out my scratcher supply, got a sniff of hot plastic sat morning following a ktm in 6th gear, time to figure something out.

Why can't we put cable scratchers off the front spindle

I Like the Idea of putting scratchers off the front ski!

Why can't we put cable scratchers off the front spindle some where?

I have seen spring scratchers on the internet that attach on the ski saddle of a simmons ski. Not sure if I like the springs on a 10" ski.

Simmons flex ski just e-mailed me back and said they had wings. Hope is checking to see with Val if they will work with the T/S Ski.

After looking at it last night I think on mounting cable scratchers of the back of the ski some how. I have some Ideas but I'm not sure if any of them are any good. I'm Also thinking need to be removed easily.

Off the spindle or block may still be the easiest solution.

i got these installed on my A-Arms. I haven't been out enough to really try them, but I did load and unload off my deck with them down and they didn't rip off

Just killing time.
