I have both in stock, HRP's and the new cable type which I really like the best. The cable ones for $ 50 a pair, they work great and you can "back up " with them.

I was looking at the cable type...seem like a sweet idea...seem strong, and flexible, so if you back up, no big deal...are they the slidekicks or similar? where are you located and how fast can they get to me?

You have the sled parts at the Chevy dealership?

I need a pair too and am riding with firedog on Thur. I know where the dealership is, can I just drive down there?
I'll get 2 sets.

From someone that has used the slidekicks, how well do they work compared to usual wire ones in packed snow or ice?

Yuppers

Just go to Jet Chevrolet and go to the parts dept. Tell them you are from Snowest and the price Dan gave you. Dan has a great price on Redline oil as well as other goodies for your sled. Dan is GOOD PEOPLE.:D

I have the side kicks on my sled...I think it is almost a good product.

Here's why I say that..On hard as heck trail..my wife and my friend who both have traditional scratchers were throwing large chunks...more were hitting me in the "tailgunner" position than were going into the track. I looked down at my cable type(sidekicks) and there were throwing a fine spray of snow..quite a bit of it in fact..I was actually surprised.

Unfortunatly after only about 70 miles of riding on them they are cracking at the "crimped" area..both top and bottom crimps. It looks to me like there is not enough material in the part where the metal is crimped over the cable. The cracks are exactly where there is a sharp edge on the crimp.. I am wondering if a hose clamp will keep it from falling apart. I just dont think a hose clamp will stay put over the crimped area.

The warrantee for them is very short..60 days or so(approx)...I bought mine early so they were out of warrantee before I even used them.
