Ice build up with under the tunnel exhaust ?

I currently run a Hauck pipe on an Apex Mnt. and I want to convert this pipe to dump into the tunnel by cutting off the two upper cans and allowing it to dump in the tunnel similar to an Excell pipe. NOW, my concern is how much ice build up this will create ? Is it worse having an exhaust dumping in the tunnel or exiting out the back . With it exiting in the stock location I still get heat under the tunnel from the pipe being exposed but not sure how much ice I really get built up ? I'm sure the heat will increase a lot by dumping the exhaust in the tunnel and I don't wanna do this if I'm going to gain 20 lbs of ice every ride . Input would be highly appreciated! Once I cut the pipe off and do the mods I'm going to do I can't take it back so I'd like to be certain before doing it.

saw a post before (not sure where) about more snow build up with the setup.

think the best would be to have the muffler somewhat under the tunnel, then exit out the sides/ corner of the tunnel

I've seen no apparent increase of ice build up with a tunnel dump exhaust, if it's a strong concern you can add some additional shrouding to fill in the gaps that will be present once the factory can has been removed. I run one of TJ's pipes on my Apex.

We have an '06 Apex Mtn with Hauck rear set-up and there is no noticable difference in ice build up from stock; we also have a TJ's under tunnel exit with no problems and a custom under tunnel exit - it's always the usual snow/ice that will drop off of the rear cooler not the exhaust. I would make the mod. My .2.

I have a TJ's exhaust exiting under my tunnel. Been out for about 5 rides in deep powder and the ice buildup is the same as it was before. There was always some melting from under the tunnel and sticking to the rear suspension. Here a picture of the pipe and tunnel.:D

i have this exact setup that you want to do. hauck cut off and fipped over dumping onto the track. no more buildup than before. sure is louder but all my riding partners think it sounds sweet! do it!
