I just noticed this as I was assembling my sled for the impending season. Last spring I jumped a rock on a lake and so graciously landed with left ski on a sheet of ice pushed up on the rock. This resulted in me going over the and bending the bars blowing side panel off dislodging hood and ripping snow pants from crotch to foot. There was no noticeable damage that I could tell when this happened. I had looked carefully and even rolled sled over to investigate. This afternoon I was installing a freshly ported cylinder and was greeted by a lovely crack which im sure is aftermath from my little escapade. Im assuming it had a hairline crack or something and broke after looking at it because clearly I would have notice the hole in the bulkhead. Anyhow do you think this is totaled or repairable. It is by the rear mount of the upper left a-arm

I changed a bulkhead half without pulling the motor.
Its not bad.

Heat the bolts then remove.
Most of them had adhesive stuck in the threads.

If it can be done without pulling motor it doesn't sound bad at all. How about new adhesive? I cant seem to find the sticky that used to be on the proride page

I used lords fusor
# 111b from napa
20$ for a tube plus applicator gun.
1/4 of one tube is what i used.

I never even drained the coolant :)

All I should need is the bulkhead half the glue and some new rivets for the fender then I believe. I was pretty pissed when I saw it was broke but making it replaceable is relatively ingenious on Polaris's part. do you recall offhand how big the rivets are? I see Polaris wants 2.95 a piece for rivets..

With you being in Minnesota, if you check the part number online some of those big online stores sell at far below MSRP. You can likely find the part for under $100. Same with the rivets and such. Just pull up the online parts diagram and make note of the part numbers and google them. It is an eye opener how much people are overcharging on Ebay and other places for used parts. List is $114 and change. Just did this last night as I need the Right side bulkhead piece. Good luck!

It is cool that polaris designed the bulkhead to be modular and have pieces rebuilt with out totaling the sled... Cheap fix in all actuality. Might want to check your tunnel though in front of the front skid mount for straightness... That seems to be the weakest spot on the pros.

the bulkhead on the pro is awesome. worlds ahead of the rest!. always wondered why manufacturers make such a structurally important part out of such a weak material. Then Polaris made one out of cast aluminum, and made it and the a-arms easily replaceable, cudo's Polaris.
