ice age rail help??

don't want to screw up my new rails on the last step. I need to drill my rails for the hifaxes. what size drill bit did you guys use? do i need to tap the hole first? any other comments you would like to throw in would be great. thanks

are you using bolts or the screws? i used bolts with lock nuts instead.drill to same diamater. screws are different story and not worth crap!

so drill all the way through and use a nylock nut? sounds alot better to me too. what size bolt did you use?

Use bolts, screws cost me a track years back. Use a dowling jig for your bolt holes (3/16 or so), then about a 3/8's through the side and file the bottom of the hole flat for the nut and you're done.
