I won a trip to Revy on a bet, when should I go?

So my buddy bet me that Hillary would win the election for gas, room, oil and beer in Revy. He admitted defeat and booked 4 days in the first week of December, the thought was start the season with a bang.

A couple of other buddys said DONT GO IN DECEMBER due to white-out conditions usually and it would be a waste. We have never been there and dont know squat. What do you think?

the best time of year is feb and mar. we ride starting in nov but it can be total white out conditions alot. so lots of tree riding then. if it's your first and possibly only trip, hedge your bets and go sometime in feb/mar. it can still be a white out, but also lots of bluebird days then too! just my $.03

What names your reservations under:eek: Ill go up in december for you guys and let you know how it was:D:D IMO you go up and make the best out of it...if life hands you lemons you make lemonade:cool:

I hear you and I know thers no way to predict how its going to be, I'm just looking for the best bet.

Buck50, thank's for the input and I'm sure it won't be my only trip. It's a lot closer to Whistler for me but I seem to have no problem doing the 10 hr drive to McCall 2 or 3 times a year and I hear Revy is the bomb. Do you guys know how much race fuel I can bring across the border?

No predictions on the weather.......it can be either. If you are new to the area and want to have the best time no matter what the conditions......find a local to tour you around. When the sledrevelstoke site is back up this fall you can find someone there easily.
Oh yeah.......anytime after US Thankgiving is usually decent
As far as fuel goes........I have pals who bring the whole drum up without question.
Have fun

like i said, we ride there all year, but if you're trying to pick a time frame that has GENERALLY the best weather, it would be feb/mar!!! but anytime after about mid nov there's lots of snow !!!!!!!! i do agree that if you've never been there before, find someone to show you around, you'll have a much better time!!! there's lots of locals on here, maybe hook up with one of them!!

I've gone first two weeks of Dec the last two years and I've had a blast everyt trip. No you may not be able to see 50ft in front of you cause its snowing so hard but if it ever breaks, you'll be in heaven.

Its a long trip for me but it is absolutely worth every minute even if it is socked in.:D

Thanks for the info. I think we will stick with DEC 4th. I think its about 8 hrs for me.

Race Fuel is not a problem...2 seasons ago CG and I had a full drum on the open trailer, no questions.

Like CM said (and when CM speaks, people listen!! :D ) the weather can go either way...we've gone on Thanksgiving 2 years in a row and each trip had 2 bluebird days out of 4, with off the hook pow for Nov. We'll be there again on Thanksgiving this year.

Summer is TOO long!!

We're booking in then too, last yr we went last week in nov and the snow was killer. Tree riding for sure. up to 75' of snowfall tends to dampen visibility.
