I can't seem to find a Top Cap trailer or Top Cap for sale anywhere reasonably close to Seattle. Oregon, Idaho and Montana included. Any one know where I can find one? Checked Craigslist all summer long and didn't see even one. I don't know if there are different models but I want a 12' Triton Trailer with the kind of Top Cap that hinges on the outside(flatter front) rails.
Thanks.

Thanks. Just called him it's a 10' trailer. I need the 12' model to cover my long track sleds. He is selling for the same reason.

Matte, roadtrip, there's one in Iowa for $2,250 12' Elite with Top cap in the Transport / trailer section. At that price might be worth the trip, or at least a call, maybe he can deliver to Montana.:face-icon-small-hap

I've got one, I'm thinking about selling it but not ready to yet. It must be the 12ft since I have 2 163 dragons in it

Absolutely love the cap top.its compact and its garage during off season.pulls nice and air dosnt hit it.Good luck hard to find

They were discontinued. If I can get my hands on one I might start to make them again. They are all chopper gunned fiberglass. Super easy to make once you have a mold and you can easily make a mold if you have a part to start with. With better hardware and air shocks than the original I think they would sell for about $2000. Not sure what people are willing to pay but I would pay $2000 for a new Top Cap that I could put on any 12' trailer.

Called on that one that Ace59 showed the link to and made a deal. Thanks a lot for all the help. Looked all summer before I posted here. I was checking Craigslist for Portland, Seattle, Spokane and all over Montana so not sure how I missed this one so again Ace59 thanks for the heads up.

why is the fiberglass top cat better than the aluminum cap available from triton?

is it just personal preference? or price?

It's cleaner look to me and seems more durable. The aluminum skin is so thin that they all look pretty dinged up. Not sure about weight, probably really close. Also, I like the way the fiberglass ones sit on the trailer and hinge on both sides. When it's tipped up you have a lot of head room to change clothes out of the weather too.

Zrider that is a little different style. It has a bit of a v-nose to it. The way that one hinges at the front is not as good as the other style. It's also a little sharper of an angle up front and the skis and hood will rub if you park the sleds close. Looks like it's in really nice shape though. Thanks for the heads up.

thank you -

Also, I would think the fiberglass is less apt to sweat than the aluminum .

Been kinda thinking about a light wt option - whether its aluminum or glass - to the big trailer. Don't dare go with the open trailer option anymore - too much liquid salt on the roads that goes all over everything

That is why I was looking for this trailer. Need something to get up into the hills early and late in the year but didn't want to use a sled deck or open trailer.. One of the things I like about sledding is that you don't have to clean the machines much if you have some kind of enclosed trailer. I have to move 3 machines most of the time so if we use this new Top Cap I will put one in the bed of the truck with a cover and 2 in the trailer. The cab will help shield the sled in the bed and the cover should give it pretty good protection.
