I think winter has moved and now comes later! Feb, March and April now Best Riding!
Not too many years ago I did not ride much after the 1st of March because the snow in the mountains was hard as rock in the mornings and like mashed potatoes in the afternoon. Now, it may have been due to snowmobile tracks only having 1" paddles but, most of my mishaps seeming to happen in that slippery wet heavy spring snow.
I have noticed that in the last several years winter seems to start later and last longer into the spring than I ever remember seeing in the past. Right now, with nothing but more snow in the forecast for the next week, we have 199" of snow on the ground in the mountains. This is nuts! I know a lot of people are putting their sleds away for the season but, ours is just getting good. Here's a Snotel report for this afternoon.

Here's the weather report for the next week for the same area telling us there will be plenty more on the way.
