Each week a local travel agency has an ad in the paper with their "hot deals" of the week.
I've been wanting to go out east so I called the travel company because one of their deals was "Boston for $189 RT". Apparently all of the tickets for that price were sold out but I could buy other ones for $500!
So I told her that New York is also listed for $189 and that I'd be fine with going there. Nope. Sold out of those too.
Philadelphia? Nope.
Baltimore? Not a chance.
DC? (She actually laughed)
I literally asked her about every single east coast city listed and there wasn't ONE ticket available at one of the cheap prices and keep in mind the ad just came out in yesterday's paper
Do the low fares that companies advertise even exist or is that all just a marketing gimmick?
