Ha ha ha!!! Oops got the gearing wrong LOL!!! I meant 66/54 gears...sorry, ex doo guy LOL!! You will be happy with with your purchase ak ryda. Good to see another doo guy seeing the light like I did. Ha! I started a thread in the XP section telling everyone that I am gonna be riding a Cat from here on in and the razzing began. It was pretty funny to say the least but I like what I like and the Cat feels better than the Doo for me.

Yes, you have to be carefull on what section of the forum that you make a comment, if you want to avoid verbale abuse! The M is a great sled with the DD being the most worrysome part. They are way overpriced to work on and seem to be more problems than a chain case. Don't bother trying to measure the fuild when you change lube in the case... just fill it to the plug and it will last better. Then go ride it like you stole it!

If I'm lookin for a used one for the wife....and I'm thinking used like an '05-'07, is there a specific year better or worse? do they all have reverse in those years and electric start?? she is coming off of a '05 edge chassis

05' & 06' were the forward only drive. The 07' had the reverse in them, I don't know if you could get electric start in them.

You guys should all work for Cat. I just jumped ship too from a mod Doo and looking into the finer aspects of modding a Cat. After reading all the posts, it's making me feel better about going to a Cat. If I hop on the M for the first time and it's not everything you say it is, I'm going to retaliate Thanks for all the good info.

Feel free to elaborate on the shift assist and good rollers. Where do you get them? What exactly is it? Sounds like it makes the secondary smoother?
