hahahahaa......if Ruffy built that jump it would be "different"....lol.....this year it will be bigger and further back and we should have a few "new" spots to build also....

I also would not like to see Ruffy get eaten by the bear...I'd have to find other flatlanders to make fun of and that bear poop would ruin all of the snoqualmie valley air quality!! but it would be fun to see him chased around on video for a bit....

further back would be awesome!!! then maybe i wont sh*t my pants next time i hit it a little to hard.. :)
i'll help the build this yr.. oh how i love to jump that jump, its a nice jump to jump..

agreed.. bear chasing video would be the next big thing on youtube :face-icon-small-ton

further back....like at the top of the hill behind you :face-icon-small-hap, some serious drop there!

Yeah, when you look at that hill all the way over to the left of the "normal" hill climbing spot where the trees are....tons of run out, sled would probably survive and from my runs over it last year it would generally be softer near the trees without all the traffic climbing next to them...got a couple others as well, but the snow has to come for those....one we built years ago, but it just hasn't had the same feel since without the snow...

I'm going up some time in August to reposition the logs/brush for the snow to cover so the normal one is further back, although in the summer it's a big hole on the run in, so it may not work very well.....I'm more inclined to call it maxed out and move on to another spot...something that can grow the next few years before it gets maxed out....

next run I am thinking of having bear spray and my camera set on video...

I wonder if bears like it when you talk crap to them while spray the crap out of them in the face.

Is a blind angry bear worse then a regular one?

Bears Chomping on Ruffy's Butt

I hear they like pepper spray on their meat! Kinda tastes like spicy BBQ sauce on chicken!

So last week I told the wife that I was going to buy some pepper spray for my morning runs. She just laughed at me and called me a wuss. I think she said something about "man up" but I stopped paying attention...

So, later that night, while I am almost asleep, I hear some foot steps on the gravel driveway. Too slow for the deer / elk that are normally there. Too big for a raccoon. I look out the window, and there is the bear.

I yell at the bear, "You're a big fricken bear, aren't you."

It looks at me, as if to say, "I like pepper on my breakfast."
and continues on its way.

Fricken bear...

You should sleep in a tent in the front yard for a few nights to get a closer look. Bears like tents.
