Any quality re-hab or physical therapy place will have a small battery operated bolster that goes in the small of your back and buzzes ya up pretty good. The one I had even had a strap so it would go around the chair and stay put when I got up. They also make a horse collar one that goes around your neck. Both have hi and low and will put ya right to sleep. They are also great for the road trips post-op that can be painful. Under $20 if I remember right.

There is also some heat bags that are filled with something like split peas or beans. pop 'em in the microwave and they hold heat for quite a while. Nice and squishy too.

I good set of wireless headphones is nice too. You can crank the tunes or news without chasing off the family. When my pain was worst, i liked to be surrounded in good music to get my mind off of it. About $50 at Radiao Shack

Last but not least, a bed wedge. It replaces your pillows and gives you a lot better posture in bed. Kinda like a ramp up to the head board made out of memory foam. Under $20 as well.

hmm, how bout one of thoes things that hang about you with different animals and stuff on it....cant think of the name but babies have them in there cribs. you can modify it and put little snowmobiles, snowflakes, stuff like that on it. or nudy pics!

na, if he had back surgerie maybe not snowmobile movies, just get upset bout what he is missing out on but if he rides bikes in the summer maybe some of thoes movies, so he has somthing to look forward too.....or a series...im on a south park and curb your enthusiasim kick lately....FUNNY STUFF....lary david is the co creator of seinfeild.... highly recoimend it..... thumbs HI!
