I need some help with serial number locations

I have a 1997 ski doo summit 670 that I just purchased. It has had a aftermarket tunnel installed on it. I need to get the title transfered from wa to or and get tags. The oregon DMV wants to do an inspection. Is there any other place that the serial number is stamped.

If A dealership did the tunnel changeout then there will be a ID & # tag attached ,I think to the engine , seldom gets done , I would suggest using the engine ser. # if no unit number is found as that is all that's left.

Well Looks like im going to have to go through the hassle of going to the DMV and having an inspection that will fail. Then off to the state patrol to see if they will issue a new vin. Maybe I will get to ride this one this year. does anyone have a stock tunnel and title they want to sell for 1997 summit 670.

Get a set of number stamps from Harbor Freight.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. This sled is now for sale. I do not want to deal with the problem. I just hope to get my money back.
