I need some help installing my 509 Wrap

Hey Guys,

I just got my 509 Wrap for my Pro. I'm looking at the dimensions while it's still laid out in the roll and I'm starting to get some concerns...

The most notable so far is that the piece that fits on the top of the tunnel is 4ft long... much longer than the area that needs to be covered on the tunnel. In addition to this, it's not cut to fit around the taillight assembly.

I'm curious if they want you to drill out the rivets, lay the wrap then reattach? Or maybe even do self modifying/cutting of the wrap to fit. If so, this is really disappointing and this wrap just might be going back...

(Another thought would be that somehow they printed a piece for a different sled...)

Anyone have any experience with these they can share?

The top tunnel portion probably extend under the gas tank and the tail light housing.

I think you are supposed remove the seat and fuel tank to install it.
And probably some custom trimming too.

Those wraps look awesome...

Take your time... ask questions... and relax.

I highly suggest using positioning spray to put it on and work out the air bubbles.

Cool part with wraps is that you can cover what you want or don't want. I'd much rather have more wrap than not enough.

My tip is to do it in a HEATED garage and use a product called "Sticker On". Most are saying to do the "dry" method but I can tell you, from experience, that the wet method (done sparingly - do NOT soak the wrap!) works with far FAR less headaches and NO bubbles. Remove things like tail lights and tank and trim excess after a day of drying.

Have FUN!

Hey Koben, To appeal to all of the different styles of tunnels on the PRO RMK , we offer a trim to fit piece on the top of the tunnel. We've addressed simply templating out the tunnel, however, due to tunnel modifications and varying lengths, we figured that we would give the customer more than enough wrap material to cover the entire top. We offer the most reasonably priced full wrap on the market. Other wrap companies charge upwards of an extra 100 bucks to wrap the top of a tunnel.

I'd recommend taking the seat off of your sled and taping it with some masking tape where you wanted it to lay. I personally have a PRO RMK 155 and have wrapped it, and another 163" with no size issues as well. The triangle piece on the tunnel top should face the gas tank. If you have other issues or concerns, feel free to give us a call at 1-877-RIDE509 and we'll get you sorted out.
