I need some EBC help

On the EBC but I need some HELP and some #. Here is my current #

BASE DUTY CYCLE 0 + ALT =10

ALTITUDE COMPENSATION ALT CMP 100

PUSH TO PASS SET +HP 5

I'M not sure but I think, the only change I have made is push to pass

I have zero to -00.7 on the psi in control box.

I took a short ride at 8000' actuator rod was about 3/16 to the tight side and the push pass was 90 (not sure). I had to let up because seeing over 10 lbs of boost in very short distance.

Came back and backed off actuator rod just to no rattle and set push to pass at 5.

Got dark so did not get a chance to ride after adjustments.

Any help would be appreciated.

set your first screen "alt =" to 000 then your second screen is "alt cmp" set it to 000 next screen is your push to pass, this is the handle bar push button setting you need to set this one after you get the first two set. last screen is alt and it will display your elevation.

your alt cmp of 100 is whats causing your boost to be so high. with all my settings at 000 my boost is 7 psi at 4400.

your alt cmp needs to be set at the elevation you want it to start compensating from. it takes a reading of air pressure at the elevation it is set then it adjust boost up or down as air pressure changes (up or down in elevation).

pm me if you want and I can help you out some more.

I'm not sure what your try'n to do and your number don't make sense.

Thanks MCIVER, your explanation is great. I will set the numbers accordingly.

Does your boost stay at 7 if you go up in elev? I start at 10000' and go up 12000'+

At 12000' I would like to run as much boost as 91 0ctane will allow.

Concerning the alt cmp, the inst. say to use a small # I still do not understand, is a small #005 or 050:confused: Must not be 100:D

I had second thoughts on installing ebc, but with just a short ride very glad I did.

My boost will drop to 6 psi by time I hit 5700 feet, thats if I leave all my numbers 000. small numbers are like 005-010 not 050. same goes for your base dc number. if I had to guess at numbers for you and your starting elevation was 10,000, I'd say you'll be at around 015-025 on base dc( 8-9 psi) and about 010 for your alt cmp if set at 10,000. but DONT START at those numbers it's only a guess. If you still run into problems or have more questions, you can give jared a call at boondockers or if you wanted pm me.
