I need help with fitting a suspension in a Cat.

I have made my 2002 Zr 800 a 151 track. The shocks are blown and it would cost me $450 to get new shocks so I thought I would just buy a new skid. I've found some Polaris, Ski-doo, and Yamaha 151 skids, does anyone know if they will fit in a Arctic Cat tunnel?

if you got the funds available look into a 153 float skid conversion....lighter, stonger and better transfer

Unless your shocks are bent or broken, you should be able to get them rebuilt for way less than $450. Gas Shock Repair in Rigby, Idaho or Carver Performance in Minnesota should be able to give you an estimate.

It ususally runs $30 to $50 to rebuild a shock if all it needs are seals and a charge. Shafts are extra and if the cylinder is pitted they are junk.

Thanks Guys but I dont want to rebuild these shocks.
#1. This suspension was ogiginally a 121 and is a 144 now that is moved back to make a 151

2. This has clicker shocks that have the resivours that rip out everytime I go in the deep snow.

3. It is not set up for mountains

Sounds like pretty good reasons. A newer M suspension, either float style or non, will fit but the front arm is 1" narrower and will need 1/2" spacer either side. There have been a bunch of posts on the forums about doing that. Any 1M or Mountain Cat suspension should be real close to a bolt in. You may have to move your rear suspension mount brackets back or redrill holes. I don't know about the other brands, but I am pretty sure Polaris tunnels are a different width so some shimming might be required.
