I need help!!!!! mosquitos lots and lots of them!!!

im a prisoner in my own home. what can i do? did not have a single one last year. but this year we put in 5000 square foot of sod and lots of rain = mosquitos!!!!!

other than stop watering what can i do?

home remidys?

sprays?

mosquito magnets?

what works?

There are sprays, put in your standard orchard spray rig, dont remember what they call the stuff though.

If there is standing water anywhere you can just pour some of it directly in there.

Luck

You could try to post an ad on e-bay, pleading that you need a dollar from 5000 people to book a trip to an exotic destination, where there are no mosquitos.:devil::D

Here is your solution, SERIOSLY!!!!
Go to your local ag supply store or local fertilizer dealer and ask for Tempo. This stuff is the CHIT. Bought a pint last yr for $36 bucks and only used 1/4 of it for the whole yr, and I covered 2 acres on that quarter. On the plus side it is safe to use INSIDE your house too. No harm to anything, pets, humans, plants, etc.

I have even taken it camping with a 1 gal garden sprayer and it KICKS AZZ in the woods. No skeetos, flies, horseflies, deer flies, etc. Makes life soooo much better.

if you can't get rid of the standing water, you might want to try one of the propane burning carbon dioxide emitter traps. I have the Skeeter-Vac 2 acre model and it does trap a lot of them. it's cordless and the propane lasts around 3 weeks running 24/7, the sticky trap will last a week in the early season before it fills up, and 2-3 weeks during the summer period. it has a fan system that also vacuums the mosquitos into a screen trap and dries them out to kill them, you have to pull it out and dump the carcasses. there are a lot of cheap home remedies if you do a google search, you decide.

we have a mosquito magnet i think its the 1 acre and after about 2.5 days they will be nothing compared to what they are, any one in the troy area thats been around bull lake in the spring/early summer knows that they swarm ya like they havent seen fresh blood in 30 years. and it doesent help that i have a swamp in my front yard and it makes it bareable and i only smack a few every few minutes

The propane jobbies have proven worthless for me. I have a Coleman Mosquito Deleto ($200.00 for unit and $75-100 p/yr to operate), that has sit in the garage for 2 yrs since I found Tempo. Much more effective for bugs, and cost is less, if have a way to spray it.

Btw, if someone wants the Coleman unit I will sell SUPPPPPER cheap.

Any idea if this Tempo stuff is available in Canada, and where to find it? I live in a log home in the woods, and it rained a LOOOOTTTTTT here this year. It's friggin rediculous.

Thanks guys!

get rid of the old tires!

No idea, i just put on some deet and call it good. Once put 100 percent deet on my arms and face by mistake:eek: I was shaking and twitching a few hours later...big mistake. But then I put i on a dickies work shirt and was bug free for a damn year.
