I need a vacation recommendation

My wife and I are looking at going somewhere warm and sunny in the spring. We like all-inclusives as is nice not having to budget for food. And would like the beach to have some waves; big enough to have fun for an adult to play in, but not to big to worry about drowning.

So...any recommendations?

Bahamas or Jamaica. I don't really know of anywhere in the US that does the all inclusive thing really. So that leaves small islands and mexico.

We have done the Jamaica thing all inclusive at Sandals for years. Going to get our 10th one free next trip. I will say there prices have got a bit out of control. But with some good shopping you can still get a 7 day with airfare for 3200.00. We used to take the same trip for 2100. You just can not go wrong with the Sandals. They make a very great vacation even better.

Love Hawaii; temperature is perfect ALL the time.

Mold…have been checking out Belize, have any recommendations on where to stay? Would prefer an all inclusive.

Any other all inclusive recommendations? If so let me know what you liked about the resort…thx!

Spend you money here, keep your money here.
Take them to a nice ski resort.
Something that has spas, shopping, neat restaurants etc.

I do not believe in directly exporting our dollars to other countries
(our govt. does enough of that)

????? His 5K vacation fund is going to save America?

If we all thought that way when deciding where our hard earned dollars should go, then yes it would make a huge difference.

I guess I just disagree with the mindset that there is nothing in US or Canada that my family would enjoy & remember.

Mafesto...we did go to to Sarasota a year ago. And I do support America made products / local business as much as possible. :)

Odds are we are going to try Sun Palace in Cancun. If anyone has experience here let me know; and thanks for the input.

I would avoid Dominican, I didn't care for it, my parents went another time and didn't like it. I guess Cuba would probably be out of the question. I wouldn't go back to Cuba though.

I'm trying Hawaii out this year but I didn't think they had any all inclusive options.

Playa De Carmen! Rented a two bedroom luxury condo right on the white sand beach . We rented on VRBO. El Faro was 1400 for the week. My family had a great time!

No all inclusive but I've been to Hawaii the past 2 years. Oahu once and Maui once....preferred Maui for a more chill atmosphere, although more north on Oahu is great too. Waikiki/Honolulu is a big city....fun party, but very busy. Better waves on Oahu. Call me unadventurous, but it was nice to NOT have language barrier and be comfortable renting a car and drive around as per normal.

I've done all inclusives on the west and east coasts of Mexico (PV and Cancun), both were nice, and have good waves, just get the nicest resort you can afford if you want to do all inclusive. A 4 star in Mexico is not a 4 star in Canada from my experience. Just like Hawaii, decide if you want to be in or out of the city/resort areas....big difference in atmosphere/activities.

If you like different foods/local stuff, the all-inclusive thing is not the best choice. They are the easiest and cheapest, and the food was fine....just nothing memorable y'know? Handy if you are drunk the whole time....which I was.
