I need a little advise.....

Ok,
I have not posted on here in a looooong time, but hopefully some of you remember me and can give a little free advise.

I am really wanting to get involved in the car business again.
I have talked to several SD dealers about a sales job - and it seems I could get a sales job just about anywhere I wanted.

And I think moving out West is where I want to be.

Assuming I wanted to re-enter the auto world at an entry level position - what Wyoming or possibly Colorado city would you people recomend. I was looking at Casper, or a Denver "suburb". But for those of you who know me - I am always going to be a small town guy so don't tell me to move to inner Denver or SLC.

Thanks.

i'm not a salesman but i think you could move any where you wanted too and live on wellfare and live better then a car salesman right now?

Huh, I just typed about 3 paragraphs of why I think this fall could be very good for the car business, but then erased it.
I want to keep this on topic.

Just looking for a little advise. Also to clarify - saleman would not be my first choice. I would like to think I have the qualifications to go beyond a salesman - but then I wouldnt have the option of picking and choosing as much.

So anyway - a little help on what some of the CO/WY cities and towns have to offer.

I have quite a few friends still in the car biz, and most of them are still doing quite well. The key is working at a store that has a boatload of small cars.

If you can truly sell, then you aren't limited to the car biz. I got out after 12 years and started selling replacement windows instead. I have never been happier.

If you are thinking about moving to Casper, come to grips with the oilfield or go somewhere else. Simple as that.

you mentioned slc, overall economy still pretty good there....maybe try one of the outlying towns....and a dealer that has a range of vehicle sizes, so there's always something to sell depending on what's hot at the moment

Livingston or Bozeman Montana. You got Cooke, Kings hill, West Yellowstone, Carrot basin, and the Crazy’s for sledding! And we have a great economy around hear and bozo will always be growing.
